It was ringing in my mind that, I should visit this huge place of worship for Sikhs- the gurudwar. After coming to Delhi, different cultures and traditions start to fascinate me. Thanks to Dr.kevi for a giving me a huge documenty files about India. After coming half way through, when hear about song like- India for Christ, Bless in Inida. I tell you- its no joke!!!
Anyways , I pick up my bag with a bible and stuff , head to the local gurudwar;lets call it shrine! the moment you near it you see people with colorful turbans and a pocket knife across them.
I enter in, keep my shoes in the rack, covered my head with my hankie( which is a must). went around this beautiful place, behind the shire you there is a large water pond where, people are doing some ceremonial stuff.
To be honest girls or say women were so beautiful in there glittering sarees, on the other side, elderly people were decoding their holy script. As I enter the shrine, a man was dragging a boy out forcefully, I thought I would be the next!!! lucky no me. Inside three when were palying chanting songs , I loved it tabala, harmonium and classical singing- pitch bang on target. was inside for sometime.
In the outer court , many where clearing the floor, it was more of team work, everyone took turn. A sense of belongingness,I could see. With the humming I walked out peacefullly.
I really dont know, where I am heading. Some might say , Emmanuel is a liberal or on the make of liberal . I dont mind or care. I love the LORD! ( yes, its a big statement) and I love people no matter ,If there are of other faith or no faith.
luv
Emmanuel
